NOTE: An assignment will be given on the second day (2nd August), and all participants are expected to submit it within one week after the final session. A dedicated presentation and discussion class will be held on the last day (9th August, 2025) to complete the course. The assignments in CGE courses are specifically designed to provide hands-on experience and practical ways of implementing the skills and knowledge gained during the course.
FACILITATORS:
Mani Prakash is the Co-founder and Director of the Centre for Gender and Environment. With over a decade of experience in law, environment, and grassroots training, she brings deep insights into gender-environment intersections, climate justice, and policy frameworks that govern them.
Yachna Srivastava is a researcher and facilitator working at the intersection of gender, climate, and community resilience. She has worked with grassroots organisations across India and specialises in capacity building and participatory learning methods.

Facilitator :
Bipasha Majumder is an established writer, researcher, documentation specialist and facilitator.
She is an expert in designing and facilitating curricula on social sector documentation and
storytelling, ecology, climate change, spiritual ecology, indigenous wisdom, gender and
alternatives for various audiences. As an alumni of Ecological Society, she collaborates with a
countrywide network of individuals and organisations working on ecological restoration,
rewilding, and sustainable living. She is deeply involved in researching and documenting the
indigenous spiritual (shamanic) traditions and ecological knowledge of tribal communities in
Eastern Himalaya.
Bipasha’s journey spans more than two decades where she shifted from the corporate sector
(advertising and media) to the social sector (communications) and further to her passion in
writing and research.
She has authored the book The Garden of Pride, an in-depth documentation about community
leadership and corporate-government partnership in transforming Vasant Udyan, a crime
infested area in South Delhi into an inclusive green space.
Earth and Us: Online certificate course on ecology, climate change, sustainability and alternatives
The Centre for Gender and Environment is thrilled to announce an online certificate course "Earth and Us" that will explore topics such as ecology, climate change, sustainability and alternatives. The deadline for applying is the 16th March, 2025. To register scan the QR code.

Certificate Course on conducting research and documentation
CGE conducts a training program on writing comprehensive research reports and documenting stories from the ground on environmental and social issues. The program draws from the decades of on-ground experiences of the facilitators and is designed to help participants learn on-the-go through interactive and practical exercises.
Who can apply? The training program is open to researchers, law students, social activists, lawyers, NGO professionals, and communication specialists/students who are interested in bringing accountability to environmental protection and working on climate change.
